Gympie Regional Council is developing a new Open Space and Recreation Strategy to guide the future of parks, open spaces, recreation facilities and sporting areas across the region for the next 10 years.
As a sports club or organisation in the Gympie region, we want to hear your experience including what's needed and where we should focus in the future.
We'd appreciate a single combined response on behalf of your club or organisation that reflects the views of your committee or leadership group. Upload any strategic plans or other information too as part of the survey.
Share with your network Council is also undertaking broad community engagement to gather community sentiment. Share the Community Online Survey to your members, players and / or volunteers so that they can have their say.
Feedback closes on Sunday23 August 2026.
Why we are engaging This survey will help us understand:
How your club / organisation uses open spaces, sport and recreation facilities
Experience of players and potential growth
What is important to your club / organisation
Any barriers you experience
Where future improvements should be prioritised
What happens next Once the survey closes, Council will review the feedback and use it to support evidence-based planning and future investment decisions alongside asset renewal, growth and participation data.
We will keep you informed of updates through the project webpage and future communications.
