When will construction start and finish?
Construction is expected to commence in early 2026, with completion planned for late 2027 (weather and site conditions permitting).
Who has been appointed to complete the works?
Following a comprehensive scoping and tender process, Council has formally appointed Hutchinson Builders as the construction firm for the Civic Centre work.
Will nearby roads, paths or parking areas be affected?
Some temporary impacts are expected, including traffic changes, construction zone fencing, changes to pedestrian access and restricted parking near the site. Clear signage, maps and regular updates will be provided.
What measures are being taken to manage noise and impacts?
Construction work will occur during standard working hours wherever possible. Noise, dust and traffic impacts will be minimised through approved environmental management practices. Advance notifications will be provided for any higher-impact activities.
