Update: Australian Government announces $11 million investment towards Civic Centre restoration

Today, the Australian Government announced an $11 million investment towards the restoration and upgrade of the Gympie Civic Centre through the Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program.

This is a significant milestone for the project and recognises the important role the Civic Centre has played - and will continue to play - in the cultural, community and civic life of the Gympie region.

The investment will support the restoration and reopening of a much-loved community facility, enabling the Civic Centre to once again welcome people for performances, celebrations, community events, civic occasions and shared experiences. It also strengthens the broader Civic and Cultural Precinct as a place for connection, participation and activity in the heart of Gympie.
