Council is reviewing how the car park next to the boat ramp at Carlo Point is currently being used.

The car park includes spaces for vehicles with boat trailers, as well as general vehicle parking. Before considering any changes, Council would like to better understand:

  • how people use the car park and surrounding area
  • when the car park is busiest
  • how long vehicles with and without trailers are generally parked
  • why vehicles without trailers are using vehicle and trailer spaces
  • whether the current signage and parking arrangements are clear
  • what changes, if any, could help the car park work better for everyone.

Consultation closed

The online survey closed on 26 July 2026.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback.

What happens next?

Council will now review the feedback to better understand current parking needs and identify any practical improvements that may help manage access to the boat ramp and surrounding facilities.

Feedback will be considered alongside other available information, including previous customer requests, parking compliance information, the current parking layout, signage and nearby parking availability.

Council will then consider whether any changes or further investigation are needed.

An update on the consultation findings and next steps will be provided on this page.
